Job summary

ABB is seeking a Quality Engineer to serve as a technical design authority and customer-facing lead on ABB Critical Power projects. The role blends engineering with commercial engagement to deliver projects and resolve customer quality issues.

You'll collaborate with ABB service, engineering, factory, and product management teams, travel up to 40% for client visits, and support remote project execution from the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 7+ years of experience; Master's with 5+ years.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Teams, and ability to leverage AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ABB's primary customer contact for quality and technical issues, leading communications, onsite support, action plans, and timelines.
• Act as the technical and design authority for engineering deliverables on moderate- to high-complexity projects.
• Review and approve designs, perform verification and peer reviews, ensure safety, quality, contractual, and as-built documentation requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges while communicating product gaps and market needs to commercial and product management teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, testing, commissioning, service, supply chain, sales, and product management.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, including work plans, cost estimates, RFQs, supplier evaluations, and delivery of outputs.
