Job summary

Geronimo Power in Bloomington, MN (HQ) or Remote (US) is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager to lead owner-side QA/QC for renewable energy and infrastructure projects. You will establish quality expectations, review contractor quality plans, and drive timely field issue resolution from preconstruction through turnover.

You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Commissioning, Operations, EPC contractors, vendors, and site teams to ensure adherence to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent in engineering, construction management, quality management or related field.
• 7+ years in construction, engineering, QA/QC, commissioning or project delivery.
• Experience with contractor quality programs and turnover documentation.
• Knowledge of drawings, specs, codes, quality documentation, and standards.
• Ability to assess quality risk, influence teams, and escalate issues.
• Strong written/verbal communication and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and project quality systems such as Procore.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve the QA/QC framework, requirements, templates, inspections, metrics, and reporting.
• Review quality plans, ITPs, procedures, submittals, records, and turnover packages.
• Coordinate quality execution with site teams, Engineering, Procurement, and EPCs.
• Ensure quality requirements are communicated and implemented in the field.
• Plan and perform audits and defect/quality reviews; document findings and close actions.
• Manage nonconformances, punch lists, disposition, tracking, and closure.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
• Monitor KPIs and report to leadership with recommendations.
• Provide independent assurance while not replacing contractor responsibility.
• Support reviews to reduce defects and improve handoff quality.
• Participate in quality meetings and coach teams on expectations and docs.
• Maintain audit-ready quality records in approved systems.
• Travel to project sites and facilities as needed.
