Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a number of Quality Engineers for large-scale renewable energy projects with a focus on quality management across construction activities.

Open to a range of experience levels, the role offers training and clear progression paths as projects ramp up through 2027. The position involves travel with patterns including on-site rotation and a remote-friendly US-based setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in design, engineering, manufacturing, or construction.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical resource and provide guidance and support to project team members on quality-related matters.
• Implement and oversee the Quality Management Plan across assigned project scopes, from initial project commencement through to final completion and acceptance.
• Monitor and inspect materials and construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, identifying and addressing any quality issues or non-conformances.
• Manage Non-Conformance Notices (NCNs) and RFIs, ensuring issues are investigated, resolved and corrective actions implemented.
• Train and support project personnel, ensuring they understand their quality-related roles, responsibilities and procedures in line with Mortenson's Quality System.
• Work closely with clients, architects, engineers and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure design documentation meets project and customer requirements.
• Identify, document and share project best practices, while recognising opportunities to improve project margins, reduce risk and optimise construction methods and material selection.
