Job summary

Xactus is seeking a QAQC Auditor II to join its team. This position primarily handles quality control audit re-underwriting of closed loans, comments on deficiencies, and grades loans according to investor guidelines.

This is a full-time, remote role with a standard M–F schedule. The starting base salary is $75,250, with potential annual bonus; work equipment is provided and remote work is supported across time zones.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA lending requirements and lending compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Sound decision and judgment making skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret mortgage and financial documents.
• Ability to document and explain mortgage loan defects clearly.
• Attention to grammar and spelling.
• Ability to compute income, liabilities and ratios for loan eligibility.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Complete credit re-underwrite on all loan files per AUS findings or manual approvals.
• Analyze property appraisals for value support and eligibility.
• Recalculate borrower income sources and debt-to-income ratios as needed.
• Ensure loan elements meet investor guidelines and detect misrepresentation or fraud.
• Identify defect trends and cite defects in QC reviews.
• Enter loan data into the Quality Control system and review closing documents.
• Assess notes, mortgages, and assignments for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform required tests in the Compliance Review system and document issues.
