Job summary

Zippy is seeking a Manager of Quality Assurance to lead the pre-close and post-close QA programs across the loan origination lifecycle. You will coach QA analysts, manage performance and capacity, and ensure findings are grounded in policy, regulation, or investor requirements.

The role demands deep subject‑matter expertise in end-to-end origination and the ability to translate findings into practical recommendations that reduce repeat issues and improve procedures without adding friction.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in mortgage/loan operations, QA, or compliance roles.
• 3+ years of direct people-management experience with coaching and development.
• Strong end-to-end loan origination process knowledge.
• Experience overseeing pre-close and post-close quality reviews preferred.
• Ability to interpret policies, procedures, regulations, and investor requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a QA team responsible for pre-close and post-close loan reviews.
• Oversee QA reviews to ensure accuracy, consistent scoring, and documented evidence.
• Manage throughput: queues, priorities, and team capacity across reviews.
• Escalate material risks and track corrective actions through resolution.
• Collaborate with Origination, Underwriting, Compliance, and Technology teams.
• Translate QA data into actionable insights for managers and senior leadership.
