Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Software Testing Principal (MUMPS) to support mission-critical healthcare applications in a remote capacity. The role requires extensive experience testing MUMPS/InterSystems Cache environments and coordinating QA across legacy systems.

The successful candidate will develop test plans, execute both manual and automated testing, verify data integrity, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage and quality across HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA

Qualifications

• Experience testing healthcare, government, or other highly regulated environments.
• Experience testing enterprise applications supporting clinical, benefits, or healthcare operations.
• Experience supporting legacy applications and long-lived mission-critical systems.
• Experience testing applications developed using MUMPS and/or InterSystems Cache.
• Experience developing detailed test plans, test scenarios, test scripts, and test cases.
• Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, HIPAA EDI Transactions.
• Experience using defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA/Azure DevOps/HP ALM/TestRail).

Responsibilities

• Support testing and QA activities for mission-critical healthcare applications in MUMPS/InterSystems Cache.
• Participate in modernization, system enhancements, and production support for legacy systems.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Validate software enhancements, maintenance releases, and fixes.
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, UAT, and end-to-end testing.
• Verify data integrity across legacy healthcare apps and interfaces.
• Test HL7, FHIR, EDI transactions and interoperability.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, product owners, and end users to validate requirements.
