Job summary

Pyxis Management Consulting Group is seeking a remote Proposal Technical Writer based in India to lead the writing of US public sector proposals. You will convert RFP requirements, SME input, and past performance into clear, compliant narratives, coordinating with US-based BD, delivery, and leadership teams.

You’ll manage proposal schedules, ensure compliance, and support multiple submissions across time zones. Strong English writing and project management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, Public Administration, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in proposal writing, technical writing, or proposal management.
• Excellent written English: research, analytical, writing, and editing.
• Ability to interpret government documents, policies, budgets, or procurement materials.
• Experience with strategic positioning, competitive analysis, and proposal development.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and with a distributed, cross-functional team.
• Strong internet research skills and creative problem solving.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
• Clear verbal communication with U.S.-based colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and polish proposal sections: executive summaries, technical and management approaches, staffing plans, past performance, and corporate qualifications
• Translate input from subject-matter experts into clear, concise, and persuasive narrative tailored to each agency's goals
• Review and interpret RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, statements of work, government policies, regulations, and budget documents
• Ensure consistent voice, terminology, formatting, and win themes across every volume
• Shred solicitations and build compliance matrices and response outlines
• Develop and track proposal schedules, assignments, and review cycles (e.g., Pink, Red, Gold Team)
• Coordinate contributors across time zones and support multiple proposals with competing deadlines
• Conduct research and competitive analysis to support strategic positioning and win themes
• Perform final quality checks for compliance, accuracy, and submission readiness
