Job summary

WinBiz Consulting seeks a Proposal Writer/Editor to craft compliant, compelling government proposal content (RFI/RFPs, multi-award responses) in collaboration with SMEs and the Proposal Manager. You’ll translate jargon into clear English, ensure alignment with win themes, and drive content through to final submission.

The role is remote, project-based, 1099 Independent Contractor, with clients primarily in US Eastern Time Zone.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or similar disciplines or equivalent experience.
5 years Federal Proposal experience and 10 years of general proposal experience.
Shipley training or APMP Foundation credential.
Native fluency in American business English and expert-level writing.

Responsibilities

Write and edit for clarity, ensuring compliance and concise messaging within page limits.
Collaborate with the Proposal Manager and SMEs to structure technical, management, resumes, and past performance volumes.
Review RFP requirements and amendments for content impact and fit.
Edit for consistency and to meet word/page constraints while preserving impact.
Coordinate with Graphic Artist to validate graphics for compliance and impact.
Manage multiple remote projects with strict deadlines and US-time-zone client meetings.
