Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to deliver public safety design and implementation for ASTRO 25 and related technologies across State and Local government agencies. This remote role requires 25-50% travel to project sites in the U.S.

You will lead technical efforts, coordinate with field teams, and ensure system acceptance from design through cutover, supporting critical communications infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline and 7+ years of engineering or technical experience OR 10 years of engineering or technical experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
• Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical aspects of the assigned project until system acceptance.
• Design and implement the radio network including infrastructure, subscribers, mobile backhaul and WAN and CEN networks.
• High level of customer and consultant interaction involving design reviews and testing events.
• System buildout, configuration and acceptance testing in lab and field environments.
• Radio coverage testing, frequency analysis and interference mitigation.
• Radio system licensing (FCC/Industry)
• Prepare system fleet map, encryption and radio programming templates
• Complete system documentation
• Live system cutovers and upgrades
