Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Software Applications Specialist to lead workflow delivery and advisory activities for Public Safety software. You will assess current processes, propose integrations, and guide trainings and UAT while coordinating with engineers and project managers.

The role is remote with travel ~50% and requires near proximity to a major airport due to travel. Candidates must have 3–5 years in IT for public safety and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering or related field or 3+ years in public safety IT.
• 3+ years in Public Safety, CAD, Records systems or jail apps.
• Self-motivated team player with guidance toward objectives.
• Must obtain background clearance as required by government customer.
• U.S. work authorization without employer sponsorship.
• CJIS Security Policy background and fingerprint check required.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational assessments and discovery to understand customer processes.
• Evaluate workflows and recommend configuration of Motorola software solutions.
• Facilitate business process reengineering and run workshops.
• Design and deliver training materials for end users.
• Define and coordinate UAT with documented results.
• Liaise between technical teams and customers to adapt software.
• Support project lifecycle with timely delivery within scope and budget.
• Present analysis results and project updates to stakeholders.
