Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Software Application Specialist to manage deployment of its command center software for public safety agencies. The role involves discovery, process analysis, and configuring COTS software for client use cases, with heavy travel across North America.

You will lead workshops, guide training, facilitate UAT, and coordinate with engineering and project management to ensure successful implementations. A U.S. citizen with eligibility for security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of experience in a Public Safety information technology environment.
• Must be able to obtain a background clearance as required by government customers.
• U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and assessments to understand customer processes in public safety contexts.
• Evaluate existing workflows and propose configuration changes to Motorola software.
• Facilitate business process reengineering initiatives and run workshops.
• Design and deliver training materials and guide customers through implementations.
• Plan and coordinate User Acceptance Testing with stakeholders and document results.
• Serve as liaison between technical teams and project management to meet client needs.
• Support project delivery to ensure on-time, within-scope software deployments.
