Bruker Daltonics in North America is seeking a Field Application Scientist to advise academic, biotech, pharmaceutical, and clinical research customers on proteomics workflows using LC-MS technologies.

The role is remote and based in the western US, requiring up to 40% travel. You will collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and R&D to support customer success, accelerate technology adoption, and contribute to business growth.

Qualifications

• PhD in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related scientific discipline with proteomics focus; or an MS with substantial proteomics experience.
• Hands-on experience developing, optimizing, and applying LC-MS/MS-based proteomics workflows.
• Strong understanding of proteomics sample preparation, LC, MS instrumentation, and data analysis.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% across North America.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Educate and consult customers on proteomics workflows and experimental design.
• Troubleshoot workflow challenges and share best practices.
• Deliver on-site and virtual training, workshops, and seminars.
• Partner with Account Managers to understand objectives and provide scientific expertise.
• Present demonstrations and technical discussions of Bruker solutions.
• Plan and support evaluations and PoC studies to enable adoption.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, and R&D on new offerings.
• Represent customer needs to internal teams and engage with key opinion leaders.
