Job summary

Biotage is seeking an Applications Scientist to join our Charlotte, NC team onsite. You will develop practical proteomics workflows, support sales, and craft technical content for customers. Travel of ~25–50% to sites and meetings is required.

The role emphasizes intact protein characterization, PTM localization, and LC-MS/MS method development on high‑resolution platforms, with collaboration across sales, marketing, and R&D teams. A PhD is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in chemistry/analytical chemistry or related field.
• PhD strongly preferred for advanced roles.
• Experience with proteomics workflows and LC-MS/MS is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop practical workflows supporting sales, marketing, and customer success.
• Create scientific documentation (notes, white papers, blogs) to engage customers.
• Provide application support, training, troubleshooting, and product demonstrations.
• Deliver technical presentations and lead trainings/workshops at meetings and tradeshows.
