Job summary

SCIEX is seeking a Senior Application Scientist – Proteomics to deliver customer-centric LC-MS demonstrations, develop proteomics workflows, and provide training in the North America market. You will collaborate with sales and product teams to advance applications, influence decisions, and contribute to portfolio expansion.

Travel up to 50% in North America is expected. This on-site role reports to the Sr Manager, Biopharma and CE Applications.

Qualifications

BS with 10+ years, MS with 5+ years, or PhD with 3+ years in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Life Sciences with focus on mass spectrometric analysis
Demonstrated experience in proteomics workflows
Strong hands-on experience with LC-MS quantitative and qualitative workflows using accurate mass instrumentation
Ability to operate effectively in customer-facing environments and influence stakeholders

Responsibilities

Lead customer engagement and deliver LC-MS product demonstrations, proteomics workflows, training, and ongoing application support
Drive commercial impact by partnering with sales to identify opportunities and influence customer decisions
Design and implement end-to-end proteomics workflows including sample prep, methods, and data processing
Contribute to hardware/software development and portfolio expansion across LC-MS technologies
Represent SCIEX as a scientific thought leader at conferences and with stakeholders
