Job summary

Elite Personnel is assisting a government contractor in education to hire a Proposal Coordinator for the Bids and Proposals team. The role focuses on timely, high-quality proposal development in response to education-related RFPs, with occasional visits to the Northern Virginia office for submission duties.

You will identify suitable bids, craft production plans, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and guide the proposal team from kickoff to award while ensuring RFP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 3+ years of proposal-related experience
• Strong research and analytic skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and organizational skills
• Experience with proposal processes and compliance requirements
• Familiarity with bid databases and sources (e.g., FBO, Grants.gov)

Responsibilities

• Identify bids aligning with mission using bid sites and systems
• Develop proposal production plans, schedules, and compliance matrices
• Coordinate with cross-business teams and pricing leads
• Lead proposal team from kickoff to contract award with assigned roles
• Supervise day-to-day proposal production activities and resource scheduling
• Address delays, identify barriers, and implement corrective actions
• Assist with drafting sections as appropriate
• Perform quality control to ensure RFP compliance
• Oversee final proposal production and submission
