Job summary

Allstate is seeking an Inside Property Contents Adjuster to handle contents claims virtually from New York or New Jersey. You will investigate coverage, write damage estimates with advanced video tools, and negotiate settlements while guiding customers through a fast, fair claims process.

We value empathy, clear communication, and the ability to work independently from home. Prior experience with Xactimate and property claims is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Residency within New York or New Jersey required.
• 4+ years of experience using Xactimate for complex contents estimating.
• Experience handling property insurance claims.
• Bachelor's Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Handle contents claims virtually from New York or New Jersey.
• Conduct coverage investigations to ensure policy is applied correctly.
• Use advanced video technology to collaborate with onsite vendors for damage estimates.
• Communicate empathetically with customers and guide them through the claim process.
• Negotiate settlements following standard methodologies.
• Coordinate with structure adjusters for holistic claim handling.
• Leverage data and analytics to tell a story and influence decisions.
