Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking a Property Condition Assessor to perform Property Condition Assessments in accordance with ASTM E2018. The role covers diverse asset types and supports underwriting with lenders such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

This position requires up to 60% domestic travel and offers the chance to apply technical expertise in building systems while upholding JLL's reputation for quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in architecture, engineering, construction management, environmental science, geology, or a related field.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience performing PCAs or related services.

Responsibilities

• Perform PCAs in accordance with ASTM, JLL, and client-specific protocols within established timelines.
• Evaluate building systems and conditions-including structural, seismic, accessibility, and MEP-against client scopes such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac requirements.
• Conduct walk-through surveys of properties and surrounding areas, including safe roof access, to assess conditions and identify recognized environmental concerns.
• Interview property owners, occupants, site personnel, and government officials to gather information on property condition, history, and potential environmental issues.
• Review cost estimates, maintenance records, inspection reports, and historical documentation to identify deficiencies and environmental conditions.
• Document findings through photographs and develop detailed cost estimates to remedy identified deficiencies.
• Support business development by presenting services to clients and contributing to revenue growth; some overnight travel required.
