Job summary

Assurant, Inc. is seeking a technically strong P&C Claims Manager to lead a team of claim adjusters through high-quality claim handling, coaching, and ongoing change. You will help associates grow their technical confidence, apply policy accurately, tell the claim story clearly, and deliver consistent service in a fast-moving claims environment.

This role emphasizes developing people, using data to solve operational challenges, and keeping the team future-ready as workflows and tools evolve.

Qualifications

• P&C Adjusters license is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in property claims.
• Minimum 2 years in supervisory/leadership roles including coaching.
• Experience using Xactimate to review or write property estimates.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, develop, and mentor a team handling property & casualty claims.
• Set clear expectations and drive productivity and quality standards.
• Support technically sound coverage decisions by coaching on policy interpretation and claim documentation.
• Use data and quality reviews to identify trends and improve team effectiveness.
• Lead through change as workflows and tools evolve.
• Resolve escalated or non-routine issues and ensure timely follow-up.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, clients, TPAs, and other leaders.
