Qualifications

• Active insurance adjuster license in home state
• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of adjusters handling a mix of accounts and lines of business including general liability, commercial property, and others
• Achieve or exceed goals and overcome obstacles
• Implement and maintain best practices for claims handling across intake, investigation, evaluation, settlement, and recovery
• Monitor claims data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement
• Align team with client and customer expectations of the claims process
• Serve as a resource for escalated claims
• Oversee claim reserving for accuracy and adequacy
• Develop strategies to mitigate fraudulent claims and ensure regulatory compliance
• Foster a positive work environment and promote professional growth
• Lead performance management including hiring, training, and retention
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex claims and escalate issues
• Build relationships with external stakeholders including policyholders, agents, brokers, and legal representatives
• Prepare and present claims reports and analysis to clients and advise on trends and loss mitigation
