Job summary

Caravel is seeking a Project Coordinator (Accounting) to support delivery and finance for consulting engagements. You will manage schedules, track utilization, and assist with billing. The role sits at the intersection of delivery and finance and is ideal for an early‑career accounting graduate.

You'll collaborate with senior consultants, sit in a remote team with US-based hours, and build a foundation for a consulting career while growing core skills in NetSuite and PSA tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field.
• Strong organization and attention to detail; able to manage multiple pieces.
• Comfort with numbers and spreadsheets (Excel); interest in how a services business runs and bills.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to chase status updates efficiently.
• Able to work US business hours from Austin, TX or Southern California.
• Proactive ownership mindset; able to identify and complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update project schedules, milestones, and deliverables; flag risks early.
• Track consultant time, utilization, and resourcing across engagements.
• Support billing and finance: review time/expense entries and assist with invoicing.
• Manage SOWs and change orders; keep documentation clean and up to date.
• Coordinate across delivery teams, consultants, and clients on schedules and status.
• Collaborate with PMO and finance to improve realization and reduce revenue leakage (DSO).
