Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking a Program Manager to support volunteer engagement across SAF/ISD and Corporate Departments. This fully remote role can be located anywhere in the USA and requires a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of related experience.

You will serve as the primary relationship manager, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive recruitment and engagement strategies to advance mission objectives.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Skills & abilities: Strong presentations, communications, collaboration, and ability to build training materials.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to create reports and dashboards.
• Travel: minimal travel (2–3 in-person meetings per year).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship manager for assigned SAF/ISD and Corporate Departments.
• Build and maintain relationships with program managers, department stakeholders, and volunteers.
• Identify workforce needs and develop recruitment approaches for volunteer engagement.
• Support recruitment plans, promote opportunities, and navigate volunteer processes.
• Coordinate communications, meetings, and stakeholder updates.
• Manage Volunteer Connection activities, including reporting and workflows.
• Provide guidance on volunteer policies and best practices.
• Support leaders and teams in sustaining enterprise positions.
• Analyze volunteer data to support decision-making and workforce discussions.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and leadership updates.
• Monitor vacancies, recruitment activity, and engagement metrics.
