Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing Specialist to perform professional fee coding audits, provide clear rationale for coding changes, and stay current with regulatory updates. The role is remote with flexible scheduling and may involve working with multiple specialty areas.

CPC is required, CPMA preferred, and about 20 hours per week with potential for growth. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of coding/auditing experience, familiarity with Epic and Cerner, and a strong commitment to

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding and/or auditing.
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate in coding/auditing.
• Experience with Epic and Cerner EMRs.
• Knowledge of AHIMA code of ethics and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs Professional Fee coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Provides concise rationale with specific documentation references for changes.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes affecting coding practice.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases to ensure workflow and resolution.
• Educates coders through the auditing process and promotes accuracy.
