Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing Specialist to perform professional fee coding audits and provide expert rationale for changes. This fully remote role supports healthcare organizations with education, compliance reviews, and coding workflow analysis from a home workspace.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in coding/auditing, CPC certification, and familiarity with Epic or Cerner EMRs. 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling are available for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional fee coding and/or auditing.
• CPC certification is required; CPMA preferred.
• Maintain 95% accuracy in coding/auditing work.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner or other EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional fee coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Provides concise rationale with references and documentation locations for changes.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes affecting coding.
• Organizes multiple cases concurrently to meet workflow and deadlines.
• Educates coders through the auditing process.
• Adheres to AHIMA code of ethics and maintains professionalism.
• Supports clients with strong customer service and reliability.
• Demonstrates high complexity in decision making and teamwork.
