Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing Specialist to address coding quality, compliance reviews, and education. This fully remote role offers a flexible schedule, roughly 20 hours per week, allowing you to influence healthcare data quality from your own workspace.

The candidate should have 5+ years in professional fee coding/auditing, CPC certification, and familiarity with Epic/Cerner. Availability during normal business hours is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding and/or auditing.
• CPC certification required; CPMA preferred.
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs Professional Fee coding audits of medical records and abstracts using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Provides rationale with references and documentation locations.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases concurrently.
• Provides coder education via the auditing process.
• Function in a professional, efficient and positive manner.
• Adhere to AHIMA's code of ethics.
• Customer-service focused and professional.
• High complexity of work and decision making.
• Strong organizational, teamwork, and leadership skills.
