Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing Specialist to perform professional fee coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers, ensuring accurate coding and thorough rationale for changes. This remote role offers flexible hours, ideal for candidates with strong auditing background and 5+ years’ experience.

You will educate coders during audits, stay current with regulatory changes, and collaborate across teams to optimize coding quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding and/or auditing.
• CPC certification is required.
• CPMA certification preferred.
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with EMR systems like Epic and Cerner.

Responsibilities

• Performs Professional Fee coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Provides rationale with references and documentation locations for changes.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases concurrently.
• Educates coders through the auditing process.
• Maintains professional, efficient and positive work manner.
• Adheres to AHIMA’s code of ethics.
• Demonstrates customer-service focus, professionalism and reliability.
• Handles high complexity and demonstrates strong organization and leadership.
