Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing Specialist to perform professional fee coding audits and provide actionable rationale for any changes. The role supports educational needs, regulatory awareness, and coding workflow reviews while working remotely on a flexible schedule.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of coding/auditing, CPC certification, and comfort with Epic/Cerner EMR systems. Availability around normal business hours and roughly 20 hours per week is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional fee coding or auditing.
• CPC certification required.
• CPMA certification preferred.
• Maintain 95% accuracy.Experience with Epic, Cerner, and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional fee coding audits of medical records and abstracts using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Provide rationale with references and documentation locations for changes.
• Keep abreast of regulatory changes.
• Prioritize multiple cases to ensure departmental workflow and case resolution.
• Provide coder education through the auditing process.
• Operate in a professional, efficient and positive manner.
• Adhere to AHIMA’s code of ethics.
• Demonstrate customer-service focus, professionalism, flexibility and commitment to excellence.
• Handle high complexity of work and decision making.
• Demonstrate strong organizational, teamwork, and leadership skills.
