Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing Specialist to perform professional fee coding audits and provide targeted education to coders. This remote, flexible role focuses on accuracy, regulatory awareness, and quality in coding practice.

You will review medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers, delivering concise rationale and documentation references. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in professional fee coding and a CPC credential; CPMA preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding and/or auditing.
• CPC credential required.
• CPMA preferred.
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional fee coding audits of medical records and abstracts using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Provides clear rationale and references for changes and locations in documentation.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases concurrently to ensure workflow.
• Educates coders through the auditing process.
• Adheres to AHIMA's code of ethics.
• Maintains professional, positive conduct and customer service focus.
