Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing Specialist to perform professional fee coding audits and provide rationale for changes. The role is fully remote within the United States with a flexible schedule, supporting coding quality and education initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in professional fee coding/auditing, CPC, and exposure to EMRs like Epic or Cerner. CPMA is preferred, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and ethics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding and/or auditing.
• CPC certification required.
• CPMA certification preferred.
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner.

Responsibilities

• Performs Professional Fee coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Provides concise rationale with references and documentation locations.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes multiple cases to ensure workflow and resolution.
• Educates coders through the auditing process.
• Adheres to AHIMA ethics and codes of conduct.
• Demonstrates professionalism, flexibility and dependability.
• Exhibits strong organizational and leadership skills.
