Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a seasoned Profee Coder for a fully remote role focused on Primary Care coding. You will handle high-volume E/M coding for a family practice, including HCC and annual/physical exams, while adhering to ICD/CPT guidelines. AZ hours are 8am–5pm with flexibility after training.

Must have at least 1 year of PCP coding experience and active CPC/CCS/CCS-P/CCA/AHIMA or AAPC certification. Remote work is supported from multiple states, with production coding responsibilities and

Qualifications

• One year of Primary Care E/M coding experience.
• Active AHIMA or AAPC certification required.
• Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding principles.
• Remote-work capability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Code diagnostic and procedural information per national guidelines.
• Abstract diagnoses and codes into the EMR, gathering missing info.
• Ensure quality assurance per CMS/OIG/HCFA and standards.
• Prepare daily/monthly reports; tabulate data for analysis.
• Work independently with supervision when needed.
