Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Remote Primary Care Medical Coder to join our Primary Care Coding Team. You will evaluate medical records, assign ICD‑CM and CPT4 diagnoses, and support accurate reimbursement while collaborating with a nationwide team.

The ideal candidate holds CPC/CCS or equivalent AHIMA/AAPC credentials, can work independently from a remote setting, and thrives in a collaborative environment with strong quality standards and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Certified CPC/CCS/CCS-P/CCA/AAPC AHIMA in active status.
• Experience with ICD-CM and CPT-4 coding principles.
• Remote work capability with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records and code diagnoses and procedures.
• Abstract records into electronic medical records with accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with CMS and state regulations.
• Produce daily/monthly coding reports and analysis.
• Collaborate with providers to clarify documentation.
