Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Profee Coder | Physician Practice Complex Coder with 3+ years of Cardiology Complex Coding experience. This fully remote role requires active CPC/AHIMA/AAPC certification and the ability to code complex surgical cardiology cases from home.-banner Health provides remote equipment and supports flexible schedules after training.

Ideal candidates hold specialty cardiology coding experience and a CPC beyond CPC-A, with proven remote-work capabilities and a strong track

Qualifications

Requires CPC/CCS/CCS-P/RHIA/RHIT in active status with AHIMA or AAPC.
Three+ years of complex professional coding experience in cardiology/surgical cardiology.
Ability to work effectively in a remote setting with standard office software and coding systems.

Responsibilities

Analyze medical records and code ICD-CM and CPT accurately according to guidelines.
Abstract diagnoses, procedures, and related information into EMR with complete signatures and authorizations.
Ensure compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA and Medicaid guidelines and perform quality assurance.
Provide daily/monthly reports and assist in data validation edits.
Identify and resolve coding issues to ensure compliant coding and reimbursement.
