Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Product Manager to lead strategy, delivery, and ongoing oversight of a custom-developed product within the OCC portfolio. This fully remote role ensures goals, stakeholder needs, and technical execution align to support mission-critical outcomes for the program.

This position is fully remote within the United States and reports to a Program Manager, with responsibilities spanning planning, cross-functional leadership, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years (or commensurate experience).
• Proven experience as a Product Manager overseeing custom software development projects.
• Strong ability to define product vision, roadmap, and measurable outcomes.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to gather, prioritize, and translate stakeholder needs into clear technical requirements.
• Solid understanding of product lifecycle management for enterprise or mission‑critical systems.
• Excellent communication across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience managing vendor or contractor teams and evaluating delivery against requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including data‑driven decision‑making.
• Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Creates integrated project plans for contract deliverables and new products in development projects.
• Manages a project team comprised of a multidisciplinary staff.
• Reviews, manages and controls status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with team members.
