Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Product Manager to lead strategy, delivery, and ongoing oversight of a custom product within the OCC portfolio. This role ensures product goals, stakeholder needs, and technical execution align to support mission‑critical outcomes for the program.

This is a fully remote position within the United States, offering collaboration with agile teams and vendor partners to drive releases, manage backlog, and measure outcomes against defined success metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's with 2-5 years or commensurate experience.
• Proven experience as a Product Manager overseeing custom software development.
• Ability to define product vision, roadmap, and measurable outcomes.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and leading cross-functional teams.
• Translate stakeholder needs into clear technical requirements.
• Understanding of enterprise or mission-critical product lifecycles.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience managing vendor/contractor teams and evaluating delivery.
• Data-driven decision making is essential.
• Clearance Ability: Suitability/Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Creates integrated project plans for contract deliverables and new products.
• Manages a project team of multidisciplinary staff.
• Reviews and controls project status and budgets; manages schedules.
• Develops progress monitoring mechanisms and problem solving with teams.
• Reports to a Program Manager.
• Directs project through design, implementation, and testing.
• Defines requirements and plans lifecycle deployment.
• Supervises staff in regular disciplines.
• Schedules tasks and coordinates with team members.
• Manages vendor task integration and deliverables reviews.
• Ensures quality standards and reviews project outcomes.
• Conducts project meetings and tracking/reporting.
