Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Product Manager to lead the strategy, delivery, and ongoing oversight of a custom-developed product within the OCC portfolio. This role ensures alignment of product goals with stakeholder needs and mission-critical execution to support program outcomes.

This position is fully remote within the United States and requires experience in product lifecycle management, agile software development, and cross-functional leadership to drive roadmaps and ensure quality delivery across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2–5 years of relevant experience or commensurate experience.
• Proven experience as a Product Manager overseeing custom software development projects.
• Ability to define product vision, roadmap, and measurable outcomes.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and cross-functional leadership.
• Translating stakeholder needs into technical requirements.
• Understanding of product lifecycle management for enterprise or mission-critical systems.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience managing vendor/contract teams and evaluating delivery against requirements.
• Analytical and data-driven problem solving.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Creates integrated project plans for contract deliverables and new products in development projects.
• Manages a project team comprised of a multidisciplinary staff.
• Reviews, manages and controls status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with team members and line managers.
• Reports to a Program Manager.
• Defines requirements and plans project lifecycle deployment.
• Supervises professional and technical support personnel.
• Schedules tasks and coordinates with team members to accomplish results.
• Manages vendor tasks and reviews vendor deliverables.
• Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews deliverables.
• Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking, analysis and reporting.
