You will bridge state accounting practices with technology solutions and work with design, engineering, and stakeholders to scope work and deliver impact. Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
• 3+ years leading cross-functional product teams.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial measurement.
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with state government regulations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience running consumer web applications.
• Ability to build buy-in and communicate trade-offs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bias toward action and ability to operate with incomplete information.
• Ability to translate user needs into product requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert knowledge and insights in accounting practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and technology solutions, including experience with system conversions and integrations.
• Lead stakeholders through complex public policy implementation and business processes.
• Explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Assist in the development and review of program documentation, training content, and manuals.
• Collaborate with legal, public policy, business, and operations teams for accurate accounting processes.
