Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking a Product Manager (Accounting SME and Tech Solutions Advisor) to rapidly validate product strategies and user needs in alignment with contract requirements.

The role bridges state government accounting practices and technology solutions, coordinating with stakeholders, design, and engineering teams to plan and scope work. You will guide accounting practices, oversee software integrations, and ensure accurate, compliant financial processes while collaborating

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Product Manager leading cross-functional teams
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Solid understanding of financial measurement tools and accounting principles
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with state government regulations
• Excellent communication skills for technical, user experience, and project management trade-offs
• Ability to generate strong product plans and build buy-in across teams and partners
• Ability to execute with incomplete information and shape team action plans

Responsibilities

• Provide expert knowledge in accounting practices
• Proficiency with accounting software and integrations
• Lead stakeholders through complex public policy implementations and business processes
• Communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
• Develop and review program documentation and training content
• Collaborate with legal, policy, business, and operations teams to ensure accuracy of accounting processes
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations
• Review content for accuracy and completeness
• Lead integration of accounting software solutions to improve data accuracy
• Troubleshoot and resolve software implementation issues
• Coordinate with IT for audit logging, system integrations, and monitoring
• Provide training and support on new software applications
• Define vision, goals, and success measures for products
• Discover and translate market research and user needs into requirements
• Prioritize roadmaps and inbound work with project management
• Represent Nava's outcome-centric approach in discovery meetings
• Understand needs of end users and government partners
• Measure progress toward business goals and translate data into action
• Make tactical decisions to improve design and requirements
