Job summary

Allegion is seeking a results-oriented intern to support customer experience-based testing and validation across new and updated products. You will help communicate user concerns to project teams and assist in creating training materials, while working with engineering and product management to define experience requirements.

You will participate in early prototype testing and ensure UI/UX guidelines are followed, supporting global teams remotely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; recent graduates welcome.
• Internship or coursework in electronic locks, security, or user experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi connectivity and usage.
• Interest in Access Control and Electronic Security Industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn tools quickly.
• Willingness to learn about electro-mechanical locking, POE power, and cloud components.

Responsibilities

• Support customer experience testing and validation of Allegion’s products.
• Communicate customer interface concerns to project teams.
• Assist in creating and delivering product training materials.
• Identify and verify customer experience issues with new products.
• Review historical customer feedback to baseline attributes.
• Help define product experience requirements with engineering and product management.
• Participate in early prototype testing and scenario-based validations.
• Promote UI/UX design guidelines and best practices.
• Support cross-product consistency to improve user experience.
• Train with Field Specialist associates and expand alpha/beta sites.
• Collaborate with local, US-based, and international teams, primarily remotely.
