Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum eight years of field engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of power plant operation and controls.
• Understanding of boiler and turbine control schemes on conventional and combined cycle plants; water treatment and renewables.
• Experience tuning conventional, combined cycle, or renewable plants.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% in North America.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced process tuning for Boiler or BOP processes.
• Work with plant operations teams at site to tune plant processes for optimized productivity of steam and electricity.
• Develop and implement startup and tuning activities for major retrofit projects.
• Generate and store tuning reports for all site tuning.
• Work with stimulation group to startup and tune high fidelity systems for different customer units.
• Conduct site acceptance and performance testing for major retrofit projects to meet contractual performance targets.
• Apply specialized knowledge to engineering and management teams on complex problems.
• Contact customers to review and promote service needs, maintenance contracts, system adds, and stand-alone system requirements.
• Develop and advise on engineered system projects or system adds using current and non-current technologies.
• Provide project management on large projects during installation, start-up, or supervise subcontractors.
• Provide recommendations for hiring of Field Engineers and participate in interviews, performance evaluations.
• Analyze, investigate, and resolve customer warranty claims.
