Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Process Tuner Field Engineer to join our Power and Water Solutions team. The role, based in Houston with remote opportunities, involves advanced tuning of boiler and BOP processes, working at customer sites across North America.

You will lead startup and tuning activities for major retrofits, generate tuning reports, and supervise field engineers on projects while ensuring contractual performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• A minimum of eight (8) years of field engineering related experience.
• Strong understanding of power plant operation and controls.
• Willingness and ability to travel 80% of time, primarily in North America.
• Experience tuning boiler, turbine, and renewable plants.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced process tuning for Boiler or BOP processes.
• Work with plant operations teams at site to optimize steam and electricity productivity.
• Develop and implement startup and tuning activities for major retrofit projects.
• Generate and store tuning reports for all site tuning.
• Provide project management on large projects during installation or startup.
• Review and promote service and maintenance contracts with customers.
