Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Process Tuner Field Engineer to join the Power and Water Solutions team in Houston, TX. The role is based in Houston but open to remote for candidates with Ovation DCS experience and willing to travel 80% across North America.

You will provide advanced tuning for boilers and BOP processes, collaborate with plant operations on-site, and manage retrofit startup and tuning activities, generating tuning reports for performance verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• At least 8 years of field engineering experience.
• Experience tuning boiler, turbine and plant controls.
• Willing to travel up to 80% in North America.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced process tuning for Boiler or BOP processes.
• Work with plant operations teams on site to ensure effective tuning for productivity.
• Develop and implement startup and tuning activities for major retrofit projects.
• Generate and store tuning reports for all site tuning.
• Work with stimulation group to startup and tune high fidelity systems.
