Job summary

TruLegal is seeking a Privacy Manager/Attorney on a contract-to-hire basis to take ownership of privacy initiatives across the organization. This role sits at the intersection of legal, product, and operations, partnering with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to translate privacy requirements into practical, scalable business solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in business, law, cybersecurity, information systems, engineering, data science or related field.
• One or more privacy certifications required (CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPT or CIPM).

Responsibilities

• Advance the company's privacy strategy and execute the privacy roadmap.
• Drive internal privacy compliance projects and maintain related documentation and reporting.
• Develop and improve standardized privacy resources and tools for use across the business.
• Assist with privacy awareness and compliance training.
• Manage day-to-day activities of the privacy program.
• Own and project manage cross-functional privacy compliance projects.
• Support privacy audits/reviews and oversee remediation activities across the organization.
• Communicate program progress, escalations, and issues to stakeholders.
