Job summary

Transamerica’s privacy team seeks a Lead Privacy Consultant to advance privacy by design across the business. You will partner with business and technology teams, facilitate PIAs and DPIAs, and translate complex privacy requirements into practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business field or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of privacy, data security and/or other relevant experience.
• Deep practical understanding of global privacy laws and frameworks (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, GLBA).
• Strong written and verbal communication, and ability to present complex topics clearly.
• Ability to work independently, manage momentum, and drive tasks to completion.
• Collaborative working style with willingness to support teammates.

Responsibilities

• Support development of enterprise privacy by design playbook with expert guidance.
• Facilitate PIAs and DPIAs across domestic and international activities with clear findings.
• Manage assigned workstreams, track tasks and dependencies, escalate issues.
• Translate privacy requirements into practical operational outcomes across teams.
• Identify privacy risks and remediation recommendations from assessments and vendor engagements.
• Prepare structured deliverables, risk summaries, and governance updates.
• Support notices, RoPAs, training enhancements, and privacy risk controls.
• Share knowledge and assist colleagues to improve team output.
• Engage cross-functional stakeholders to drive timely execution.
