Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Principal Fire Protection Engineer to serve as the technical authority for fire and life safety across utility-scale energy storage and power projects. Fully remote with travel up to 25%, you will shape design standards, lead code compliance, and guide EORs from concept through commissioning.

Minimum 10+ years in fire protection, a related degree, and P.E. preferred. You will interface with AHJs, insurers, and clients to ensure safe, cost-effective delivery while

Qualifications

• 10+ years of fire protection engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related discipline.
• P.E. license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on complex fire safety challenges and risk mitigation.
• Establish company-wide engineering standards and design criteria.
• Lead national fire protection code committees and interface with AHJs and insurers.
• Oversee project fire protection EORs, scopes, schedules and budgets.
• Collaborate with electrical and SCADA teams to ensure design consistency.
• Support testing and commissioning of fire protection systems.
