Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Principal Fire Protection Engineer to serve as the technical authority for fire and life safety across utility-scale energy storage, power, and industrial EPC projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of fire protection engineering experience, including 2+ years in energy infrastructure.
• P.E. license preferred.
• Experience working with AHJs, fire marshals, and code officials for approvals and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on complex fire safety challenges and risk mitigation.
• Develop basis-of-design documents for fire protection systems.
• Manage scopes of work, RFPs, and evaluation criteria for 3rd party EOR firms and equipment vendors.
• QA/QC of third-party deliverables to ensure alignment with standards and project requirements.
• Collaborate with electrical and SCADA disciplines to ensure design consistency.
• Support fire protection design optimization for cost, performance, and constructability.
• Provide technical training to SOLV team and lead owner engagements as needed.
