Job summary

Hitachi Vantara is seeking a Presales Solution Consultant Manager to lead a regional presales team in a remote/hybrid U.S. setting. The role focuses on storage and data-center solutions, aligning technical strategies with business goals and driving customer success.

You will collaborate with sales, product, and delivery teams, mentoring consultants and shaping solution-oriented pursuits. Residency in NY/NJ is required along with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the Information Technology industry.
• 3-5 years of experience in managing Consulting Presales roles in Storage/Technology or High-Value Solutions Infrastructure.
• Track record of success in Business Technology related sales with excellent customer skills.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies (Storage, Server, Virtualization/VMware, AI/ML, Containers, Data Protection, SAN, LAN/WAN).

Responsibilities

• Provide presales technical leadership and direction based on industry trends and regional business economics.
• Guide technical account strategies aligned to customer requirements and goals.
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Leadership to prioritize opportunities.
• Engage with Director-level and higher customer/partner leadership to understand issues and propose solutions.
• Mentor and coach Solutions Consultants (SCs).
• Work with product management/marketing to develop solutions and pursuits.
• Support change programs and role-model solution selling.
