Job summary

Hitachi Vantara, a global data solutions company, is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Solutions Consultant (Presales Engineer) Manager for the AMER Sales organization. You will lead presales teams, align solutions with customer needs, and collaborate across sales, product, and delivery units in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

The role requires 10+ years in IT, 3-5 years managing presales in Storage/Tech, and a strong record of customer engagement.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in the Information Technology industry.
3-5 years of experience in managing Consulting Presales roles in Storage/Technology.
Track record of success in Business Technology sales with strong customer skills.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies (Storage, Server, VMware, AI/ML, Containers, Data Protection).
Ability to develop and deliver well-structured presentations with clear audience-tailored messaging.
Valid driver's license.
Compensation: base around $180K and total target around $240K annualized.

Responsibilities

Provide presales technical leadership based on industry trends and regional economics.
Guide technical account strategies aligned to customer requirements and goals.
Collaborate with regional sales leadership to prioritize opportunities.
Engage with Director-level customers to understand issues and propose solutions.
Mentor Solutions Consultants and support change programs and solution selling.
Coordinate with product management/marketing to develop solutions and opportunities.
