Job summary

SHI has an opening for a Presales Solutions Architect – Platforms. You’ll be a customer-facing platform-architecture expert driving container, automation, and platform engineering initiatives. This remote role may report to the Austin office as needed for business requirements.

Lead technical conversations, design hybrid cloud solutions across on-prem and cloud environments, and educate sales teams on platform architecture and key technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and architecting cloud-native platforms across on-premises, hybrid, or multi-cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, GitOps, and observability.
• Experience in presales, guiding customers through technical decisions.
• Ability to translate business needs into platform architectures.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead presales conversations and own the technical strategy through the sales cycle.
• Design and sell platform and hybrid cloud solutions across on-premises and hybrid environments, leveraging OEM and third-party technologies.
• Collaborate with CIO/CTO, Platform Engineering, SRE, and developer teams to align goals and outcomes.
• Develop collateral, workshops, and other materials to assist with sales engagements.
• Stay current on cloud-native trends and SHI offerings; engage in lab work to advance knowledge.
