Job summary

Leidos is seeking experienced Project Managers to join our Strategic Program Consulting team within Power Delivery Solutions. You will lead electrical utility project execution teams and manage a portfolio of capital transmission substation projects for utility clients.

The role requires 4+ years in project management within the electric utility sector, strong leadership, and proficiency with Primavera P6 or MS Project and Excel; remote work options are available with periodic travel to Kentucky

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years PM experience in Electric Utility industry; PM at an electric utility preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with US Electric Utilities and power infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 or MS Project; strong Excel skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities; travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead electric utility project execution teams with a diverse set of contributors to deliver capital transmission substation projects.
• Take ownership of overall portfolio performance including cost, schedule, and scope management.
• Interface with clients and internal stakeholders to address issues, report progress, and mitigate risks.
• Mentor and develop project management staff, fostering collaboration and learning.
• Manage monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable processes.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities to support growth.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality control standards.
• Maintain regular communication with stakeholders including clients and project teams.
• Identify project risks and mitigation strategies.
