Job summary

Leidos Engineering is seeking experienced Project Managers to join the Strategic Program Consulting team within Power Delivery Solutions. You will lead project execution for a large electric utility client, coordinating with engineering managers and account managers to deliver capital transmission and substation projects in the Kentucky area and beyond.

This role offers remote capabilities with periodic travel to client sites in Kentucky (Louisville, Lexington) as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive Project Management experience within the Electric Utility Industry; PM experience at an electric utility preferred.
• Experience with US Electric Utilities and understanding of electric power projects is required.
• Direct experience with electric power infrastructure projects; strong portfolio management focus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to travel periodically.

Responsibilities

• Lead electric utility project execution teams across multiple disciplines to deliver capital transmission substation projects.
• Own portfolio performance including cost, schedule, and scope management.
• Interface with clients and internal stakeholders to address issues, report progress, and mitigate risks.
• Mentor and develop project management staff to foster collaboration and learning.
• Manage monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable processes.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities to support growth.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality standards.
• Maintain regular communication with stakeholders across project teams and subcontractors.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
