Job summary

Leidos Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Strategic Program Consulting team within Power Delivery Solutions. You will lead project management services for a major electric utility client across transmission and substation projects in the Kentucky region and nearby markets.

The role emphasizes portfolio performance, cost and schedule control, and stakeholder communication. Travel to client sites in Kentucky is expected, and a PMP or equivalent certification is

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field.
• A minimum of 4+ years of progressive Project Management experience within the Electric Utility Industry; PM experience at an electric utility preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with US Electric Utilities and understanding of power infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 or MS Project; strong Excel skills.
• Ability to travel periodically as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead electric utility project execution teams to deliver capital transmission/substation projects.
• Own portfolio performance including cost, schedule, and scope management.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to report progress and mitigate risks.
• Mentor/project management staff and foster learning.
• Manage monthly invoicing, accruals, and AR processes.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities to grow the organization.
• Ensure compliance with contracts and quality standards.
• Maintain regular communication with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and support staff.
• Identify project risks and mitigation strategies.
